Open the Location section of your dashboard and you'll see the device's current position marked on an interactive map. Pan and zoom just as you would in any maps app, switch between street and satellite views, and refresh to get the latest fix. Each location point includes a timestamp and, where available, an accuracy estimate so you know how precise the reading is.

A complete location history

Live position is useful, but the history is often where the insight lies. MobileTracking records location points throughout the day and stitches them into a timeline you can replay. Scroll back to see the route a phone took, the places it stopped, and how long it stayed. For a parent, this confirms whether a child went where they said. For a business, it verifies that field staff followed their expected route.

Geofencing and alerts

Watching a map all day isn't practical, so the location tracker pairs naturally with geofencing. Draw a zone around home, school or a worksite and choose to be notified the moment the device enters or leaves it. Instead of constantly checking, you get a clear alert exactly when it matters — for example, when your child arrives home from school.

How accurate is GPS tracking?

We believe in being straight about this. Outdoors with a clear view of the sky, location is usually accurate to within a few meters. Indoors, in dense city centers, or where the phone relies on Wi-Fi and cell positioning, accuracy can drop to tens or even hundreds of meters. Accuracy also depends on the phone keeping its location services switched on and having a working internet connection to upload the data. The dashboard shows accuracy estimates so you can judge each reading sensibly.

Private and secure

Location data is sensitive, so it's protected with encryption and visible only through your account. There's no public profile and no sharing — the timeline of where a device has been is yours alone to review.
